Green events have, over the last few years, become a creative and dynamic method to communicate the green agenda and the need to re-introduce plants and trees into the built environment to benefit both people and planet and support sustainable cities.
Working with architects, designers, landscape architects, councils and not for profit charities who’s focus is on sustainability and community, we have arranged the logistics and installations of some of the most successful temporary urban greening events in the UK.
Cutting his teeth first on The Forest for Change (a Scotscape Project during his tenure there) – which saw Es Devlin’s beautiful pop-up forest emerge at the magnificent Somerset House – Darren knew that working with a myriad of creative and visionary businesses to communicate the urban greening message was a great fit for him. Fine tuning and planning the logistics and installation for such an event to run successfully was a challenge that was met and has led to the same process being applied in other locations as a consultant.
Well publicised green events for Derby Council and the awesome PoliNations in Birmingham benefitted from the logistical and horticultural expertise of Darren and his team.
