Stevenage Bus Station Public Regeneration
Regeneration of the old bus station location to a more usable public urban green space.
Project included, groundwork preparation, supply & install of soil, planting, mulch, amenity lawn and wildflower areas, all of which increasing both aesthetics and most importantly biodiversity within the area.

The DB Landscape Management team added sub-soil, high grade topsoil, wildflower turf, shrub beds, herbaceous planting, shrubs, trees, tree anchors, bark mulch, amenity turf, bulbs and fertiliser (osmocote)
Description
Tender process request by Chequers for a specification provided by the client. Having succeeded we were set the target goal to support the client in improving a derelict / unused urban space which used to be Stevenage bus station. Enhancing the area with green space and boosting biodiversity.
Stevenage Borough Council had been working to improve urban green space within the town of Stevenage. This has become an open public space with nearby shops and children’s play areas within.
Supporting projects and unused space like this is inspiring and fits perfectly with our mission of bringing biodiversity into the built enviromment for all to enjoy.
We are also proud to be establishing the initial install by way of regular 12 month maintenance contract. This will aid the landscape itself and develop a key relationship with the client going forward to further enhance biodiversity.
